Overview:
This 13,000 sq. ft. residence underwent a full transformation, turning a contemporary house into a warm, family-friendly home with sophisticated modern lines. Inspired by organic California chic, the design emphasizes layered textures, natural materials, and soft, neutral palettes. Every decision was informed by the clients’ lifestyle, travels, and love of entertaining, resulting in a space that feels personal, relaxed, and polished.
The Vision:
The brief was to create a home that felt inviting without compromising modernity. With three young daughters, the home needed to balance comfort, functionality, and style. The guiding aesthetic combined organic materials with a clean, contemporary framework, allowing the home to feel both lived-in and refined.

Inspiration:
Travel and experience played a key role in shaping the design. Influences from South Africa, elite beach destinations, and the clients’ East Coast roots blended into a home that reflects the places they’ve loved and lived.
Surprises & Lessons:
The most surprising aspect was how naturally everything came together. With the right team and shared design vision, even complex decisions felt easy, and the final home exceeded expectations.

Special Spaces:
The kitchen, bar, and pantry flow seamlessly, combining influences from New York, Connecticut, and Florida. The bar to the left nods to East Coast sophistication with darker cabinetry and leather hardware, while the kitchen embraces bright, airy Florida living. Together, they create a space that is both functional and visually stunning, perfect for family life and entertaining.
